Outlook for mac 2011 use as crm

I realize my stuff is very specific but, I'm hoping in this vast community, lol, someone has some answers. Does it still connect via EWS or are you given more options for connecting to the server now? it must therefore be able to link to all our staff email accounts - only 7 people - copy only the emails to specified email addresses and thus, they my staff must all be allowed to search that shared inbox and view emails. Now I'm wondering with the release of Exchange 2013 and the updates to Outlook 2011 if that ability has been given back. Can Outlook have some sort of shared inbox (stored on local server) consisting of all emails to/from our clients. So I ended up with two independent junk filters (Outlook and Server Filter). When I first migrated to Mac and Outlook 2011 a couple of years ago, it didn't have that ability. For example (my specific situation), you could make junk email filter settings changes in Outlook and it reflected on the server. With Windows and at least Outlook 2010 (not sure with Outlook 2013) Outlook basically operated as a server access point. Since I haven't had an Exchange account for a couple of years now, I haven't been able to test it all out with the latest updates to Outlook 2011 and Exchange 2013. Does anyone here use Outlook 2011 for Mac with an Exchange 2013 account? If so, I'm hoping to find out some information.
